Clemson Notes:

  • Sophomore Nelly Perry is averaging 14.8 points per game (8th in the ACC) and 15.3 points per game in ACC play; she has scored in double-figures 14 times this season.
  • Perry scored a career-high 23 points (8-19 fg, 6-10 ft) in 36 minutes of action at Virginia Tech on Monday, Jan. 18.
  • Perry has increased her scoring average from 6.7 points per game as a freshman to 14.8 points per game as a sophomore, one of the greatest scoring increases for a sophomore in the ACC this season.
  • Freshman Aliyah Collier scored a career-high 18 points (7-11 fg, 2-2 3fg) vs. Georgia Tech on Jan. 24.
  • Collier has gradually increased her scoring average every month of the season, averaging 2.9 points per game in November, 4.7 points per game in December and 9.3 points per game in January.
  • Freshman Danielle Edwards was named ACC Rookie of the Week on Dec. 28, the first Tiger to garner the award since the 2012-13 season.
  • Edwards ranks sixth in the ACC in FT% (.800) and seventh in steals per game (2.0).
  • Edwards and Perry both rank in the top-10 in the ACC in minutes per game.
  • Junior Paige Mosley is coming off a career-game vs. Pitt on Sunday, when she scored 16 points, tying a career-high.
  • Clemson has utilized 14 different starting lineups this season and only Danielle Edwards has appeared in every lineup.

Opponent & Series Notes:

  • Clemson is looking for its first win all-time against Syracuse; the Orange has won all four contests between the two schools.
  • Clemson and Syracuse last played on Feb. 26, 2015, a game that Syracuse won, 60-55 in Littlejohn Coliseum.
  • Syracuse is not ranked in the AP poll but is considered the 23rd best team in the country according to the Coaches’ Poll.
  • The Orange is led in scoring by junior Alexis Peterson (14.2 ppg) and in rebounding by junior Bria Day (7.6 rpg).
