CLEMSON, SC – The Clemson track & field program will play host to its final meet prior to the ACC Indoor Championships this weekend. The Tiger Tuneup will be held on Saturday, Feb. 19 at the school’s indoor track complex. The ACC meet will be held Feb. 24-26 in Blacksburg, VA.

The first scheduled event Saturday is the women’s 20-pound weight throw at 10:00 AM. The first track event will be the mile run at 12:00 noon.

Clemson will have only a handful of entries at the meet. Some of the highlighted competitors will be Thor Serafenas (weight throw) and Stephen White (shot put). Gasparino moved into the all-time top 10 in Clemson history last weekend with an 11’9.75″ clearance.

Clemson’s track & field teams are both rated among the nation’s top 25 teams in the latest computer reports released by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). The women were 15th in this week’s ratings, while the men made their season debut at the No. 23 position.

The women’s team is the defending ACC indoor champions and will look to defend its crown next week at Rector Field House in Blacksburg. The men are looking to improve upon a sixth-place team finish at the 2010 conference indoor meet.
