Clemson Track Competes at Tiger Classic

CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson men’s and women’s track and field teams completed the first day of competition at the Tiger Classic in Littlejohn Coliseum on the Clemson campus on Friday evening.

In women’s competition, Simone Tomlinson, a senior from Ontario, automatically qualified for the NCAA Championships by running a Littlejohn record time of 6.81 in the 55m dash, which placed her first in the event. She already holds the school’s All-Time Performers record with a time of 6.79.

Teammate Terri Robinson, a freshman from Decatur, GA, placed second in the 55m dash with a time of 6.87. This provisionally qualifies her for the NCAA Championships.

Junior Nikki Bouyer finished first in the 55m HH by hurdling to a time of 7.89.

In the women’s shot put, freshman Jamine Moton threw 49′ 1-1/2
