QUICK FACTS • Clemson and UNC Greensboro will meet for the third time in the series history on Sunday. The Tigers are coming off a quick turnaround, having defeated Savannah State 61-40 on Friday at Littlejohn Coliseum. • The Tigers played at the Greensboro Coliseum last season and came away with an 89-67 victory over the Spartans. Milton Jennings had a season-high 14 points in that win for Clemson. • Clemson held Savannah State to 22.9 percent field goal shooting Friday, the seventh-lowest figure by an opponent in school history. The 40 points allowed were the fewest by Clemson since a 93-40 win over Wofford in 2008. • The Tigers are second in the ACC in scoring defense, yielding just 61 points per game to their opponents. Clemson is also fourth in the conference with 7.6 steals per game. • Andre Young is among the top 10 leaders in the ACC in five different statistical categories: three-point goals per game, three-point accuracy, steals per game, assist-to-turnover ratio and minutes per game. His highest ranking is in steals, where he is third with 1.8 per game. • Jerai Grant surpassed 200 career field goals in the win over Savannah State and has qualified for Clemson’s career field goal percentage leaders. He is second on the Tigers’ all-time list with a 60.2 percent career clip. Harold Jamison (60.9 percent) is the school’s all-time leader. • Grant has averaged 12.4 points and 7.4 rebounds per game over his last five outings, with 11 blocked shots as well. • Zavier Anderson earned his first career start Friday and led the team with six assists, while also contributing six rebounds in a career-high 33 minutes of play. • Anderson was the first walk-on to start for Clemson on a non-Senior Night since Walker Holt did so against High Point on Nov. 27, 2002. • Tanner Smith has made 27 of his last 30 free throw attempts, 90 percent, since going 1-for-6 in the season opener against Western Carolina. • Clemson has had at least 10 offensive rebounds in every game but one (Long Beach State) this season, with a high of 15 versus South Carolina on Dec. 5. Grant (2.5 per game) leads the Tigers in offensive rebounding.
