Clemson to Start Play in ITA All-American Tournament Saturday

TULSA, OK – The Clemson Men’s Tennis team resumes its fall play at the ITA Men’s All-American Championships at Tulsa, OK this weekend. The nation’s top players are set to compete for the first men’s national title of the fall season.   For the ninth straight year, the University of Tulsa’s Michael D. Case Tennis Center will be the site for the ITA Men’s All-American Championships.   Pre-qualifying matches are set to begin on Sept. 28 with qualifying matches following on Sept. 30.  A field of 64 singles players and 32 doubles teams will then compete in the main draw on Oct. 3.   Singles quarterfinalists, doubles finalists and consolation champions will receive an automatic entry into the USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships on Nov. 7-10, held at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, NY. Clemson has 11 players participating in this event including Hunter Harrington, who received a bye and will start play in the qualifying round.
