– Clemson has played Georgia Southern just twice. This will be the first meeting since the 1979-80 season, the year Clemson advanced to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament for the only time in school history. – A victory over Georgia Southern on Tuesday would give Clemson an 11-0 start for the second consecutive season. This is already the first time Clemson has started at least 10-0 in consecutive years for the first time since Rick Barnes first two seasons at Clemson, 1994-95 and 1995-96.
