CLEMSON, S.C. – Clemson (3-2-5, 0-1-2) returns home this Thursday to play No. 1 Virginia (8-0-1, 2-0-0) at 7 p.m. All home matches at Historic Riggs Field are free to attend for fans, who will have access to free fall foods, a student raffle and be a part of staff appreciation night for a “SOctober” theme. This Season’s Quick Kicks

  • The last time out, Clemson dropped its first conference road match 1-0 against Louisville.
  • Prior to the loss, Clemson has risen from two-straight 2-0 deficits to draw (now) No. 2 Stanford and California 2-2.
    • Against California, Juju Harris scored her fifth goal of the season with Natalie Brooks and Elle Bissinger each having an assist.
    • After scoring her first career goal against Stanford, Taylor Leib scored the game-tying goal against California with Renee Lyles and Harris on the assist.
  • The Tigers are set to face their sixth ranked opponent this season which would mean they have now played more ranked opponents than unranked. Notable results include:
    • 1-1 draw against Ohio State (then No. 18, now No. 22)
    • 0-0 draw against South Carolina (then No. 12, now No. 15)
    • 1-1 draw against Georgia (then No. 15, now No. 21)

  • On Sunday, Clemson will tack on another ranked opponent in the form of No. 6 Notre Dame.
  • Clemson’s current freshman class has multiple players making an impact early in their careers with Harris leading the way.
    • Harris is tied for tenth in the nation with three game-winning goals and leads the team with five goals and 13 points.
    • Of her five goals, three were scored before the 10-minute mark.
    • Harris started all 10 matches for Clemson this season, accumulating the sixth-most minutes for the Tigers with 653.
    • She is tied with Lyles for the most shots taken (20) and has the second-most shots on goal (nine).
  • Other key freshman contributors include:
    • Neely Kerr (10 games started, three assists).
    • Reese Klein (10 games played, nine started).
    • Leib (eight games played, two goals).
    • Bissinger (six games played, one goal and two assists).
    • Alessandra Washington (six games played, one goal).

  • Christian Brathwaite is one match away from playing in her 25th for Clemson (45th overall) and is 19 minutes away from 1,500 with the Tigers.
  • Emily Brough is two starts away from 40 in her career and 70 total matches played.
  • Anna Castenfelt is roughly 73 minutes away from 1,500.
  • Dani Davis is one appearance away from 40 career matches played.
  • With another start, Mackenzie Duff hits 50 in her career, which will also be the 70th match she has played in.
  • Addy Holgorsen is a little over one minute away from 1,300 in her career.
