GREENSBORO, N.C. – Clemson will face North Carolina in the Atlantic Coast Conference Women’s Basketball Quarterfinals at the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, NC Saturday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. Clemson is seeded fourth, while North Carolina is seeded fifth.
The Clemson and North Carolina game will be televised live and shown on Fox Sports South, Florida Sunshine Network and Home Team Sports.
Clemson will enter the game with an 18-10 record overall, while North Carolina will take a 16-11 record in the game.
The Lady Tigers won both regular season games with the Tar Heels. Clemson defeated North Carolina in Chapel Hill, NC on Monday, January 10, 60-59. The Lady Tigers defeated the Tar Heels 69-65, on Thursday, February 10.
This will be the 56th meeting between Clemson and North Carolina on the basketball court. North Carolina leads the overall series 30-25.
The Lady Tigers are led in scoring by All-ACC performer, Chrissy Floyd. Floyd is averaging 12.4 ppg. Erin Batth leads the Lady Tigers in rebounding with a 7.3 rpg. average.
North Carolina is led in scoring by LaQuanda Barksdale with a 17.4 ppg. average. She also leads the team in rebounding with an 8.5 rpg. mark.
Clemson has a 10-2 record in the ACC Tournament in the last four years. Also, the Lady Tigers have appeared in the last four ACC Tournament Championship games, winning the title in 1996 and 1999.
