Clemson to Face BYU Tuesday

CLEMSON, SC-Clemson and Brigham Young will meet in the first round of the Great Alaska Shootout in Anchorage, AK Tuesday night at 12:00 a.m. (est).

The winner of the Clemson and BYU game will face the winner of the Mt. Saint Mary’s and Alaska-Anchorage contest on Wednesday at 9:00 p.m. (est). The consolation game will be on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. (est).

This is the 26th annual hoops tournament with this year’s teams including BYU, Clemson, Mount St. Mary’s and hosts Alaska Anchorage. Clemson won this tournament in the 1994 season with wins over Army, Providence and UCLA.

Both teams will enter the game with 1-0 records. Clemson defeated South Carolina 103-99 in overtime last Friday night. The Cougars defeated Weber State 68-51 in Ogden, UT last Friday.

This will be the third meeting between Clemson and BYU. The Lady Tigers lead the overall series 2-0.
