Clemson Tiger Sports Network Grows in Three Key Cities

Nov. 11, 2009

Just in time for the start of the 2009-10 Clemson men’s basketball season, the Clemson Tiger Sports Network, a property of Learfield Sports, will be adding three new basketball affiliates – WAAW 94.7 FM in the Aiken / Augusta market, WFXH 1130 AM in Hilton Head Island and WVCO 94.9 FM in Myrtle Beach. These welcome additions bring Clemson’s total number of basketball radio affiliates to 19 and give the program statewide radio coverage.

With WAAW, Clemson will be the only FBS school with an FM affiliate in the Aiken market and the station will start carrying football games immediately; along with men’s basketball games, Tiger Calls coaches’ shows for both football and basketball and the Clemson Daily Show. “The WAAW 94.7 FM family is excited about joining the Clemson Tiger Sports Network to provide sports coverage of Clemson football and basketball to the CSRA.” – Lester Smalls – General Manager

WFXH continues to carry Clemson football and is adding men’s basketball for the first time in their history with 17 live broadcasts – all ACC games plus the South Carolina game. “We look forward to carrying an exciting Clemson basketball team, and expanding our relationship with the University and Learfield Sports!” – Mark Halverson – VP/Senior Market Manager

All Clemson Tiger Sports Network affiliates will carry all of Clemson’s ACC Men’s Basketball Tournament games plus all post-season action. Please consult the clearance grid for affiliate information in your hometown.
