Clemson Swimming Teams Honored by the CSCAA

CLEMSON, S.C. — The Clemson men’s and women’s swimming teams were both honored by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) by posting high GPAs as a team as announced the CSCAA Friday.

The Clemson women’s team was the fifth highest in the nation with a 3.52 GPA for the 2004-05 academic year. This mark was the highest among Atlantic Coast Conference teams.

The Clemson men’s team was the 13th highest nationally with a cumulative 3.16 GPA for the 2004-05 academic year, the third highest in the ACC. Tommy Rappold and Kim Routh were named to the CSCAA Academic All-America Honor Roll. To be selected to this team, a swimmer or Diver has to record a 3.50 GPA or above and participate in the NCAA Swimming and Diving meet.

Nicole Carlton and Buddy Reed were named to the honorable mention Academic All-America Honor Roll.
