The Clemson men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams will travel to Atlanta, GA to take on the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets on Friday evening. The meet will be held at Emory University’s Woodruff P.E. Center and is scheduled to begin at 5:00 p.m.
The Clemson men’s team is currently 5-2 in dual meets and 1-0 in the ACC. The Tigers most recently defeated Florida Atlantic and Utah in a double-dual meet in Boca Raton, FL. Clemson was led by Buddy Reed, who won the 100 and 200 back and the 200 IM at the meet.
The Tiger women’s team improved its overall record to 5-4 (0-1 ACC) after sweeping Florida Atlantic, Northern Arizona and Utah in a tri-dual meet on Dec. 20. Kim Routh led the Tiger efforts, winning the 500 and 1000 free, and placing second in the 200 free.
The Yellow Jacket men’s team is 2-3 overall and 0-1 in the ACC, most recently defeating Cincinnati and falling to Purdue. Georgia Tech’s women’s team is 3-2 in dual meets (0-1 ACC). The team was victorious over Cincinnati, but fell to Purdue in its last competition.
