CLEMSON, SC – The Clemson men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams will travel to Bloomington, IN to compete in the Indiana Invitational on Nov. 22-24. The meet will be held at the Counsilman-Billingsley Aquatic Center on Indiana’s campus and will feature a number of teams that competed at the NCAA Championships in 2002.
The Clemson men’s team is 3-2 in dual meets this season, most recently falling to 12th-ranked Georgia by a score of 136-102 in Athens. Derrick Mulder led the Tigers against the Bulldogs, winning the 50 free and placing second in the 100 free. Craig Thomas won the three-meter diving competition for Clemson scoring 335.77 points overall.
The Tiger women’s team lost to the second-ranked Bulldogs by a score of 131-107, falling to 2-4 overall. Kim Routh led Clemson with a first-place finish in the 500 free and a second-place finish in the 1000 free. Kate Walker won the 200 back while Ashley Shafer finished first in the 200 breast for the Tigers.
The field of women’s teams consists of Arkansas, Cincinnati, Evansville, Indiana, New Mexico and Tennessee. The Tiger men’s team will be competing against Cincinnati, Evansville and Indiana at the meet.
