Clemson Swimming & Diving Team Hosts Clinic At Spartanburg Middle Tyger YMCA

CLEMSON, SC – The Clemson men’s and women’s swimming and diving team volunteered their time to provide a swim clinic to the athletes at the Spartanburg Middle Tyger YMCA on Saturday, June 7, 2003. Head Coach Sean Weddell, and varsity swimmers Caitlin Bissell, Ryan Cassella, Kimberly Cober and James Stoffer provided instruction at the clinic.

The Spartanburg Middle Tyger YMCA was Clemson University’s home pool for the 2002-03 season while McHugh Natatorium and Fike Fitness Center went through renovations. Clemson Athletics thank YMCA Executive Director Scott Dunn, Coach Peter Wright and the YMCA staff for the partnership and support of the program.

“We are always excited to provide service to our community,” said Ip. “Programs like this swim clinic energize the educational spirit of our coaching staff and swimmers promoting a lifetime sport to these fledgling athletes. These swimmers are the future of our sport.”
