Clemson, SC- The Clemson Swimming and Diving teams will be on the road again this week as they face Duke, Saturday in Durham, NC. The women are entering the meet with a three meet winning streak after they beat N.C. State Saturday in Raleigh. The Lady Tigers are now 4-6 (2-4 ACC), after starting the year 0-5. The men’s team dropped a close meet to the Wolfpack 131-106 over the weekend, falling to 4-5 (2-4 ACC). Both the men’s and women’s team won their last meet against Duke in 2005.
The Lady Tigers were led by freshman Michelle Parkhurst in their last meet as she captured three wins. Senior Kim Routh (1650 freestyle, 500 freestyle) also earned two victories. Clemson is — against Duke all-time. The Lady Blue Devils are 5-5 overall on the season and 1-4 in the conference.
The Clemson men’s team is looking to rebound in the ACC after losing to N.C. State. They are currently sixth in the ACC, just one game ahead of Duke who is 3-5 (1-3 ACC). Senior Charlie Dillon led Clemson against the Wolfpack as he won the 200 backstroke (1:51.72). The Tigers are — against the Blue Devils all-time.
The meet is scheduled to start at 1 p.m. on Saturday in Duke’s Taishoff Aquatics Pavilion.
