Clemson Sweeps Weekly ACC Volleyball Honors

CLEMSON, S.C. – Clemson’s Cindy Stern and Jessi Betcher earned this week’s Atlantic Coast Conference Player and Rookie of the Week honors, respectively, after leading the Tigers to a 2-0 record against conference foes last week.

Stern, a senior middle hitter from Cincinnati, Ohio, earns this week’s ACC Player of the Week honors after averaging 4.83 kills per game, 3.50 digs per game and a .350 hitting percentage on the road against Maryland and Virginia.

ACC Rookie of the Week honors are captured by Tiger setter Jessi Betcher who finished the week averaging 15.00 assists per game, 3.67 digs per game, 1.17 kills per game and a .389 hitting percentage. The freshman setter from Boulder, Colorado, averaged 16.33 assists per game and tallied fifteen digs (5.00 digs per game) in the victory over Virginia.
