Clemson Student-Athletes Attend Son Sports Camp

June 13, 2012

On Monday, June 4, Bryan Narcisse (men’s basketball) and Katie Inclan (cross country/track and field) visited over 200 campers at the Son Sports Camp at Foothills Community Church. The two student-athletes spoke during the opening session of the camp about the ways God has had an impact on their life as an athlete. Next, the campers broke out into sport specific sessions, where Narcisse and Inclan were able to participate in different sports with the students.

Following the event, Inclan said, “It was such a blessing to have the opportunity to interact with all the campers and be able to tell them how God has impacted my life as an athlete. Bryan and I had so much fun playing each of the sports with the students. One of my favorite parts of the evening was seeing Bryan do a cheer with the cheerleaders! He was such a great sport and the cheerleaders thought it was hilarious! I loved having the chance to combine my love of athletics with my love of Jesus Christ.”

Narcisse and Inclan handed out the “Be a T.I.G.E.R!” newspaper, schedule cards and Clemson stickers to the campers. The “Be a T.I.G.E.R!” newspaper teaches Clemson’s core character traits with fun activities and articles. Throughout the summer, student-athletes will continue to attend camps around the community.
