CLEMSON , S.C. – Clemson (6-2, 1-2 ACC) will play Louisville (3-5, 1-2 ACC) on Saturday, March 16 at 2:00 p.m for their fourth conference game of the year. The game will be streamed live on ACCNX and live stats will be available here.
Saturday will be both Clemson and Louisville’s fourth ACC opponent of the season, as each team is currently 1-2 in conference play. The Tigers defeated the Cardinals at Historic Riggs Stadium last season 19-8 in their designated Pink and Senior Game. In the 2023 game, Clemson scored nine consecutive goals in a 10 minute span around halftime to give themselves a comfortable lead that they would keep until the final whistle. The Freshman Tigers have impressed so far this season, as Regan Byrne is the No. 1 Freshman in the ACC in goals per game with a 2.83 avg, Natalie Shurtleff is the No. 1 Freshman in the ACC in assists with 11 and Kayla Macleod is the No 1 Freshman in the ACC in free position goals per game with a 1.00 average. .Â
Earlier this week on Monday, Clemson earned a dominating 23-4 road win over Wofford. In Monday’s game, a season high of 12 players put the ball in the back of the net for Clemson, with Regan Byrne and Claire Bockstie each scoring four to lead the Tigers in goals. Additionally, Natalie Shurtleff rose to become the top player in assists for Clemson after she recorded three against Wofford.Â
Louisville is coming off of a 17-14 loss to Boston College on Sunday, March 10. On offense, attacker Kokoro Nakazawa leads the Cardinals in goals, assists and points this season. Leading Louisville is Head Coach Scott Teeter and Assistant Coach Allison Daley.Â
