Clemson Releases 2016-17 ACC Schedule

CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson women’s basketball team will play its first ACC game in the new Littlejohn Coliseum against the 2016 national runner up. The Tigers’ Jan. 5 contest against Syracuse is the first of eight home conference games on the slate for Head Coach Audra Smith’s team this 2016-17 season.

Six of the team’s first nine conference games are at home in Littlejohn, as Clemson opens ACC play at Boston College on Jan. 2, before returning home for two straight games, against Syracuse and then Virginia Tech on Jan. 8. The Tigers also face Florida State, Virginia, Louisville and Georgia Tech at home in January, on the 15th, 19th, 26th and 29th, respectively. The team travels to Wake Forest (Jan. 12) and NC State (Jan. 22) during this span.

The Tigers will be traveling for much of February, as five of the team’s seven games are on the road. The lone home games are against North Carolina on Feb. 5 and Notre Dame on Feb. 16. Road matches include Duke (Feb. 2), Pittsburgh (Feb. 9) and Miami (Feb. 12). Clemson concludes ACC regular season play at Florida State on Feb. 18 and Georgia Tech on Feb. 23. Dates and location for the 2017 ACC Women’s Basketball Tournament will be announced at a later date.

The Tigers’ 2016-17 nonconference schedule, featuring eight home games and two games in Puerto Rico as part of the San Juan Shootout, was released earlier this month. Click HERE to read the nonconference schedule announcement.
