Clemson, S.C. – Clemson’s women’s golf team is ranked 10th in the nation according to the latest Golf World/WGCA Golf Coaches Poll. Clemson is the only first-year program ranked in the top 10 according to the poll of 23 women’s golf coaches from across the nation.
Southern California is ranked first and received all 23 first place votes, while UCLA is second. Duke is ranked third and is the only ACC school ranked ahead of Clemson. Arizona State is fourth and Alabama is fifth. Other ACC schools in the top 25 include NC State at #19, and Wake Forest at #22.
J.T. Horton‘s Clemson team has finished second three times and third twice in seven tournaments so far this year. The team returns to action March 24-25 at the Brian’s Creek Invitational at Johns Island, S.C.
