All prospective dancers must register prior to tryouts by completing a Rally Cat tryout application form (see below) and e-mailing it to the Spirit Squad Coach by Tuesday, April 12.

When: Friday, April 15: 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Saturday, April 16: 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Sunday, April 17: 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Where: The Huckabee Annex Gym (inside Littlejohn Coliseum)
Who is Eligible: Full time students (12+ hours), graduate students and incoming freshmen (with proof of acceptance to Clemson)
Tryout Requirements: Overall, must be a highly versatile dancer.
Three Routines (will be taught to you at tryouts) POM: Looking for sharpness, motion placement, spirit JAZZ: Looking for style/presentation, technical skills, confidence FUNK: Looking for style/presentation, confidence
Jazz Technical Skills Double and Triple Pirouettes Fouette Turns Toe-Touch Right and Left Jetes Switch Leap Leap in Seconde Switch Seconde Barrell Leap Splits (Right, Left and Center) Leg Extensions (Right and Left) High Kicks Leap Combination (Your Choice)
Tryout Process: Friday: Instructional clinic – taught Pom, Jazz and/or Funk dances Saturday: FIRST CUT – Technical Skills and Tiger Rag, then instructional Clinic Sunday: FINAL CUT – Technical Skills, Tiger Rag, Jazz, Funk
What to Bring: Acceptance letter (*You must be accepted to the University in order to try out.) Copy of a current physical (within six months) Copy of Sickle Cell Test (NCAA requirement) Proof of Insurance Medical Release Form (see below) Water Bottle*Anyone who does NOT have any of the above information will NOT be permitted to try out.*
Tryout Attire: Black dance pants or dance shorts Dance sneakers or jazz shoes Crop/midriff top needs to be worn each day Saturday and Sunday Tryouts – TOP needs to be Clemson colors (orange, white or purple) Game day hair and makeup each day
