Recap| Box Score| Notes
Clemson Head Coach Larry Shyatt
“It was physical at the beginning of the game, which forced us into a bad start. Wake Forest had a lot to do with our ineptness in terms of shooting and shot selection. They forced us into some very bad shots.”
“Last year we were man-handled by this ball club. That was the first time I had seen Wideman, Jamison, and our crew pushed around in the paint. I don’t think they produced a lot of point production in the paint today.”
“I’m very proud of Will (Solomon) coming back from his injury. I’m far more proud of the 5-to-2 assist-to-turnover ratio.”
Junior Center Adam Allenspach
“They were a little more physical in the first half. I don’t think that we are getting the ball enough inside. Maybe that is my fault or whoever else’s fault that was in. I just think that we need to get more ball movement and take them out of their game.”
How does the team keep from getting frustrated at this point? “I don’t think we do keep from getting frustrated. We just have to try and contain it. Try to practice as much as we can the next two days and come out against Florida State and just give them a good game. Hopefully we can do some things better to get a win.”
Sophomore Guard Will Solomon
First Half Shooting Struggles “That was very frustrating because I couldn’t hit a shot and the rest of the team couldn’t hit a shot. We tried to get it in the post a lot. We just couldn’t buy a shot tonight in the first half.”
State of His Game “All of my game can get a lot better than what it is right now. My defense, my offense – all aspects of my game could be better right now.”
Playing with Injury “I pulled my groin at North Carolina. It was bothering me a little bit out there, but I just fought through it. I just played the game.”
“We need a win pretty bad right now, because we lost two games that we were in and I thought we could have won. We are just going to have to keep improving in practice and come out against Florida State and play hard and try to get the W there.”
