Clemson Men’s Track And Field Team Results From Iowa State Classic

AMES, IA – In their final meet before the ACC Indoor Championships, the Clemson men’s track and field team competed at the Iowa State Classic Friday and Saturday. Three Tigers posted NCAA provisional qualifying marks and one met an automatic qualifying standard.

Sultan Tucker automatically qualified for the NCAA Indoor Championships with his time of 7.73 in the 60m high hurdles. Todd Matthews was a provisional qualifier in the same event with a time of 7.81. Ato Modibo provisionally qualified in the 400m dash with a time of 46.40 and Clemson’s 4x400m relay team provisionally qualified with a time of 3:08.46, the best time of the season by any Tiger relay team. In the long jump, Kai Maull provisionally qualified with a mark of 24’10 1-2″.

The Tigers travel to Blacksburg, VA, for the ACC Indoor Championships Friday and Saturday, Feb. 16-17. Clemson claimed last year’s ACC title.
