Lovett, a senior at Summerville High School, was named to the South Carolina All-State teams in cross country and in the 1600m and 3200m. He was all-state three times in cross country and the 1600m as well as being the state runnerup in the 1600m and 3200m. Lovett was invited to the Palmetto Boys’ State and is a three-time Academic Letter recipient.
McDaniel, a Laurens High School senior, was the South Carolina state track champion in the high jump and was all-state in the triple jump.
“Our coaching staff and team members are excited to have these young men as Clemson Tigers as they are proven winners in the classroom and on the track,” said Pollock. “They are first-class student athletes from great families who will bring quality and depth to our championship program.”
