Clemson Men’s Tennis Blanks Toledo 7-0

Columbus, OH — The 24th-ranked Clemson Men’s Tennis team defeated Toledo 7-0 on Saturday morning at the Jesse Owens West Recreation Center on the campus of Ohio State University.

The Tigers started off the match by sweeping the doubles point. The No. 17 duo of Nathan Thompson and Jarmaine Jenkins defeated Khalid Al Nabhani and Freddy Gomez at the number one position 8-5. Goran Sterijovski and Ryan Young also won their match 8-5, while Brett Twente and John Boetsch were able to defeated their Rocket opponent 8-3.

In singles competition, Clemson won in straight sets at the second through sixth position. Goran Sterijovski came from a set down to defeat Al Nabhani 6-7, 7-6, 7-6.

With the win, Clemson improves to 6-1 on the season. The Tigers return to action on Saturday night as they face No. 15 Ohio State.
