CLEMSON, S.C. –  The Clemson men’s tennis team looks to return to the win column against Old Dominion on Sunday afternoon. The Monarchs are currently 7-2 after falling to South Carolina in Columbia on Friday afternoon, 4-1.

The Tigers fell last weekend at Alabama for their first loss of the season. Freshman Carlos Kelaidis has been a bright spot so far for the Tigers who is currently 5-0 and has only been playing collegiate tennis for a month. Another Tiger on a winning streak in senior Brent Lett. Dating back to the fall season Lett is currently on a seven-match winning streak. Senior Robert Dudley has made a statement as well. After losing his first match of the year the native of Dublin, Ireland has won six straight for the Tigers.

Scouting Old Dominion

  • The Monarchs are currently 7-2 overall and are coming off a 4-1 loss at South Carolina on Friday afternoon.
  • Adam Moundir is the 18th ranked singles player in the country
  • Moundir and doubles partner Jacob Nicolussi are currently ranked 43rd in doubles.
  • Dominik Mueller was hired as the Monarchs’ men’s tennis head coach in July of 2016. Prior to taking the job in, Mueller was an assistant coach at Baylor for five seasons.
  • The Tigers are 4-0 all-time against the Monarchs, Sunday is the first meeting between the two sides since 1985.
