CLEMSON, SC – The Clemson Men’s Tennis Team is ranked 25th according to the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association poll released late Tuesday. Clemson has a 15-4 record overall, and a 4-2 mark in Atlantic Coast Conference action. The Tigers are coming off a 6-1 victory over North Carolina in a match where Clemson won all six singles matches. This marked the first time since 1989 that the Tigers had won all six singles matches against North Carolina.Individually, the Tigers number-one singles player, Yannick Maden is ranked 24th in singles. He has a 22-5 record overall this season and a 16-2 mark in dual matches. He is 5-1 in Atlantic Coast Conference play this year.In doubles, Maden and his brother Dominique Maden are ranked 22nd as a doubles team. The duo has an 18-5 record overall, and an 8-2 mark in dual matches.Clemson will play at number-one ranked Virginia on Friday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. in Charlottesville, VA. The Tigers will also play at 52nd-ranked Virginia Tech on Sunday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. in Blacksburg, VA.The Maden brothers are the first brother doubles team since brothers James and John Erwin formed a Clemson’s doubles team in 1913. The Erwins were state and SIAA (Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Association) champions.
