Clemson Football and Men’s Soccer Players Participate in Charity Spelling Bee

Members of the Clemson football and men’s soccer teams participated in the second annual Clemson Area Spelling Bee on Tuesday, September 9, 2008. The bee was hosted by the Greater Clemson Kiwanis Club in partnership with the Clemson University College of Agriculture, Forestry and Life Sciences to benefit Helping Hands of Clemson.

The Soccer Socrates team was made up of men’s soccer seniors Michael Brooks and Bryson Moore and junior Joe Bendik. The Spelling Specialists team consisted of red-shirt senior football players Jimmy Maners and Charles Roediger and freshman Dawson Zimmerman. The Specialists were coached by Mark Buchholz.
