Clemson Finishes Fifth in ACC Championship Stroke Play

Pawley’s Island, S.C. – Clemson finished ACC Championship stroke play at +26 to finish fifth following three rounds of golf at the 6,212-yard, par-72 Reserve Golf Club of Pawleys Island. The Tigers just missed advancing to the match play semifinals, finishing behind Wake Forest (E), Florida State (+5), Duke (+9), and Virginia (+16).

Melena Barrientos finished tied for 10th at +2 on the weekend, shooting a team-best 74 in Friday’s final round. Callista Rice finished tied for 16th at +4, with a 75 in her final round of her last ACC Championship. Savannah Grewal was the only other Tiger to finish inside the top 20, finishing at +6 and tied for 19th.

Gabriella Tomanka finished her first ACC Championship at +14, while Katherine Schuster finished her first ACC Championship at +21.

The Tigers now await the NCAA selection show to learn their postseason fate.
