Clemson Finishes 10th At NCAA Men’s Outdoor Track Meet

June 4, 2000

CLEMSON, S.C. — The Clemson men’s track team finished 10th at the NCAA Men’s Outdoor Track and Field Meet held at Durham, NC May 31-June 3.

Clemson finished the meet with 21 points. Stanford won the meet with 72 points. The Tigers were the highest finishing ACC team. Clemson finished one point ahead of South Carolina who had an 11th place finish.

The 10th place finished tied a school record for the best finish at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Meet. The 1993 and the 1995 Tigers both finished in 10th place at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Meet.

Clemson was led by Shawn Crawford who won the National Championship in the 200 meter dash. The senior sprinter also finished sixth in the 100 meter dash.
