Clemson Fall and Winter Sport Award Winners Announced

CLEMSON, SC — A total of 36 Clemson student-athletes, managers, trainers and cheerleaders for the fall and winter sports will be recognized for most valuable, and most improved awards in their respective sports and activities at the annual Clemson Orange and White Spring Football game at Clemson Saturday.

Tye Hill was named the recipient of the Morrow Defensive Most Valuable Football Player and was also the winner of the Leadership Award. Charlie Whitehurst was named the Offensive Most Valuable Football Player and James Davis was the recipient of the Most Valuable Offensive Football Player in the South Carolina Game. Jamall Fudge was named the winner of the Most Valuable Defensive Player in the South Carolina game.

Akin Akingbala is this year’s winner of the Most Valuable Basketball Award and Steve Allen is the recipient of the Most Improved Player award.

In women’s basketball, Amanda Frist was named the Most Valuable Player and Moreemi Davis was the recipient of the Most Improved trophy.
