Clemson Diving Completes Second Day at NCAA Zone B Championships

KNOXVILLE, TN – Five Clemson divers competed on the second day at the NCAA Zone B Chanpionships at the University of Tennessee, with the women taking part in the one-meter and the men competing in the three meter. All three Lady Tigers improved their place form the previous day, while David Giambra picked up his second top-22 finish in as many events.  

Stephanie Fura placed 37th in the event and Cassie Self 41st. 

David Giambra placed 21st on the three-meter, narrowly missing the 18th-place cut-off for final competition. The school record-holder posted a 286.90 to pick up a career-best finish in Zone competition. 

Ryan McDaniel continued his strong performances, as he competed in the three-meter as well, posting a 223.15. 

The divers will wrap up competition on Sunday with the platform event. The Tigers are aiming for a spot in the NCAA championships, which will be held starting next week in College Station, TX.
