Clemson defeats N.C. State 4-3 in ACC Men’s Tennis Tournament

CARY, NC–Clement Reix defeated Nick Cavaday 6-7, 6-3, 6-4 at number one singles in clinching the match and giving Clemson a 4-3 win over N.C. State in the first round of the 48th Annual Atlantic Coast Conference Men’s Tennis Tournament at Cary, NC Thursday afternoon.

Clemson, ranked 24th nationally, is seeded seventh, while N.C. State is seeded 10th. The Tigers will play second seeded Virginia Friday at 12:00 p.m. in the quarterfinal round.

The Tigers have a 22-8 record overall this season, while N.C. State falls to 20-10 this season.
