Clemson’s Yannick Maden defeated Alex Skinner at number-two singles in straight sets 7-5, 6-4. Maden is now 12-4 overall this year in singles play. Both DiFazio and Maden lead the squad in dual match wins with 12 victories each.

At number-three singles, the Tigers’ Kevin Galloway won over Erik Kreutzer, 7-5, 3-6, 6-4. Robert Pietrucha won over the Eagles’ Billy Grokenberger at number-six singles, 7-5, 7-6.

“We responded very well today with a solid turn around from Friday’s match,” said Clemson’s Head Coach Chuck McCuen. “We were more aggressive in doubles and for the most part played well in singles. I must say that we fought hard from start to finish and continue to gain momentum as we get ready for next weekend’s matches against North Carolina on Friday and Duke on Sunday.

“Kevin Galloway played well today, and Derek and Yannick also continue to pick up momentum. We would appreciate Clemson fans supporting us for the Solid Orange Weekend as we have North Carolina and Duke coming to Tigertown,” said McCuen.
