Clemson Claims Two Tennis Victories

CLEMSON, SC–Clemson, ranked 15th nationally, defeated Georgia State 6-1 on Friday and ACC-foe and 17th-ranked Miami (FL) 5-2 on Saturday in men’s intercollegiate tennis action at Clemson, SC.

With the wins, Clemson is now 14-2 on the year overall, and 1-0 in the ACC. The Tigers have now won 10 matches in a row.

The Tigers’ Clement Reix won both matches at number two singles. He defeated Daniel Vallverdu of Miami (FL) 6-2, 4-6, 7-6 and Nejc Podkrajsek of Georgia State 6-3, 7-6.

Clemson will play at ACC-foe and 22nd-ranked Georgia Tech on Wednesday, March 8, at 2:30 p.m. in the Tigers’ next action.
