Mobile, AL – The Clemson men’s tennis team won two out of three doubles matches and four out of six singles matches to defeat Indiana University 5-2 on Sunday in the final day of the South Alabama Invitational. With the win, the Tigers improve to 8-5 overall on the season.
After winning two of three doubles matches and capturing the doubles point, Clemson went on to win singles matches at the No. 3, 4, 5, and 6 positions. The win was the fifth out of the their last six matches for the Tigers.
Marko Gojanovic, Micah Thompson, Nathan Thompson, and Sander Koning each picked up singles wins for the Tigers while the duos of Gojanovic and Nathan Thompson and Damiisa Robinson and Goran Sterijovski were each victorious in doubles play.
The Tigers will next be in action on Tuesday afternoon when they play host to Florida State at 2:00PM at the Hoke Sloan Tennis Center. Both the Tigers and Seminoles enter Tuesday’s match undefeated in ACC play.
