CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson women’s basketball program will face nine NCAA Tournament teams from last season, including eight teams that won at least one tournament game, as part of its 29-game slate in 2017-18. Head Coach Audra Smith’s Tigers host 2017 National Champion South Carolina and also face three other teams that advanced to the NCAA Sweet 16 a season ago. The schedule was released by the Atlantic Coast Conference on Thursday.

The Tigers have 15 home games at Littlejohn Coliseum in 2017-18, starting with a Nov. 10 opener against Kennesaw State. They also host SC State on Nov. 13, South Carolina on Nov. 16 and Monmouth on Nov. 19 to start the season, before hitting the road for the San Juan Shootout (Nov. 24-25) and a Big Ten/ACC Challenge game at Nebraska (Nov. 30).

In December, Clemson hosts three home nonconference games, versus Charleston Southern (Dec. 2), Prairie View A&M (Dec. 8) and Jacksonville State (Dec. 17), and travels to Louisiana Tech (Dec. 4) and the FIU Holiday Tournament (Dec. 20-21).

ACC play begins Dec. 31 at Georgia Tech, followed by the Tigers’ first home conference game vs. 2017 NCAA Sweet 16 participant Florida State on Jan. 4. The remainder of January includes ACC home contests against Miami (Jan. 14), Boston College (Jan. 18) and NC State (Jan. 28) and road games at Virginia (Jan. 7), North Carolina (Jan. 11), NCAA Sweet 16 team Notre Dame (Jan. 21) and Syracuse (Jan. 25).

February begins with three of four ACC games at home – Pittsburgh on Feb. 1, Georgia Tech on Feb. 4 and Duke on Feb. 11, with a road game at Louisville, another NCAA Sweet 16 team, on Feb. 7. The Tigers travel to Florida State on Feb. 15 and Virginia Tech on Feb. 18 before concluding the conference regular season at home on Feb. 22 versus Wake Forest.

Smith, who is entering her fifth season at the helm of the program, led Clemson to a 15-16 record in 2016-17, 11 more overall wins than the previous season. The Tigers recorded the best nonconference record (11-2) the program has seen since 2003-04, and won the school’s first ACC Tournament game since 2014.
