Clemson, S.C. — Jena Ready joins the Clemson program as the Director of Strength and Conditioning for Women’s Basketball, it was announced today by women’s basketball head coach Amanda Butler.
Ready has spent the last two and a half years as the Director of Sports Performance for Women’s Basketball at Wake Forest.
In this role with the Demon Deacons, she implemented a 12-month strength and conditioning program focused on the development of each individual athlete on the Wake Forest women’s basketball team.
Prior to arriving in Winston-Salem, Ready spent 2017 and 2018 as the associate head strength and conditioning coach at Winthrop University. During her time at Winthrop she worked with the women’s basketball, women’s tennis, women’s lacrosse, men’s golf and cross-country teams.
She arrived at Winthrop after two seasons as a graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach at Lenoir-Rhyne. While earning a master’s degree in sports and exercise, Ready worked with nine programs on campus.
As a member of Queens University of Charlotte lacrosse team, she led the team in goals over her final three seasons, tallying a combined 163 goals over her sophomore, junior and senior seasons. Ready graduated from Queens University with a bachelor’s degree in sports and exercise in 2015.
