Clement Reix advances to the NCAA Final 16 in NCAA Singles

CLEMSON, SC–Clemson’s Clement Reix defeated Harel Srugo of Old Dominion 6-3, 6-4 in the NCAA Men’s Tennis Singles Tournament and advances to the round of 16. By advancing to the final 16, Reix is now an All-American.

The last Clemson singles player to advance to the NCAA Final 16 was John Sullivan in 1989. Reix and teammate Jarmaine Jenkins will start play in the NCAA Doubles Tournament later this afternoon.

Reix, a junior from Amiens, France, will play the winner of the Kevin Anderson (Illinois) and Luigi D’Agord (Miami) match on Friday in the round of 16.

Reix has a 32-7 record this season. The last Clemson player to win 30 or more matches in a single season was Josh Goffi in 1999 as he had a 31-19 mark.
