The women’s track & field program will send two student-athletes to the NCAA Indoor Championships this weekend in Fayetteville, AR. The meet will take place at the University of Arkansas’ famous Randal Tyson Center. Della Clark and Liane Weber both earned bids by virtue of strong marks in their respective events, and both are making their first trips to the national meet.

Clark has earned four All-ACC honors in her career, including three in the weight throw. Most recently, she finished in third place two weeks ago in Clemson at the ACC Indoor Championships. Clark has spent much of the season among the top of the list in the weight throw and has been ranked among Trackwire’s `Dandy Dozen’ for much of the season as well. Clark owns a top mark of 66’7″, which ranks second in school history. The weight throw will take place Saturday at 2:00 PM.

Weber has made an instant impact within the Lady Tiger program. The native of Wangen, Germany claimed the 2007 ACC pentathlon crown two weeks ago. She posted an automatic qualifying mark of 4,089 points. As a result, she was named ACC Indoor Freshman of the Year. She ranks sixth in the latest `Dandy Dozen’ report by Trackwire. The pentathlon will take place Saturday, beginning with the 60m hurdles at 11:30 AM.
