Brianna Rollins Sets New School Record in 100-Meter Hurdles at Texas Relays

AUSTIN, TX – Freshmen Brianna Rollins and Bridgette Owens both broke the school record in the finals of the 100-meter hurdles on Saturday. Rollins set the school record with a time of 12.96, good enough for a fourth-place finish. Owens is now second in school history, recording a time of 13.05, good enough for a fifth-place finish.

Michaylin Golladay ran 13.07 in the women’s 100 hurdle invitational section, finishing in fourth place. Her time matched a personal best.

Stormy Kendrick recorded an eighth-place time of 11.29 in the finals of the women’s 100-meter dash. In the men’s 100-meter dash finals, Justin Murdock recorded a time of 10.35, good enough for seventh place.

Patricia Mamona placed third in the women’s triple jump finals, with a mark of 13.82 meters, her best of the season. April Sinkler finished with a mark of 13.08 meters, also her best of the season, good enough for a sixth-place finish.

ATHENS, GA – Freshmen Christy Gasparino and Lauren Terstappen moved onto the all-time best list in the pole vault at the Spec Towns National Team Invitational in Athens, GA. Gasparino’s mark of 3.85 meters, good enough for second place in the finals, moves her into a tie for seventh place on the all-time best list. Terstappen recorded a fourth-place mark of 3.70 meters, which moves her into a tie for ninth place all-time.

Kelly Conway recorded a time of 2:26.03, good enough for second place. Brannon Sulka finished in fourth place with a time of 2:33.22.

In the field events, Michael Kopanski finished third in the men’s pole vault, clearing a height of 4.95 meters.

Sarah Turman finished third in the women’s 5000-meter invitational race, with a time of 18:17.53. In the women’s 1500-meter invitational, Stephanie Buffo finished with a fifth-place time of 4:42.35. On the men’s side, Aaron Ramirez recorded a second-place time of 3:56.09 and Ty McCormack recorded a third-place time of 3:57.48.

In the women’s 100-meter hurdles, Liane Weber finished with a fourth-place time of 13.94, while in the men’s 110-meter hurdles, Miller Moss finished in third place, recording a time of 14.27. Chris Slate finished the men’s 800-meter invitational race in third place with a time of 1:55.02, while Aaron Ramirez finished in fourth with a time of 1:57.24.

In the Tigers’ final race of the day, the men’s 3000-meter steeplechase, Kevin McKenna finished in fourth (10:17.94).
