Clemson, SC – Brian Hennessy has been named assistant sports information director at Clemson University. He replaces Todd Lamb, who resigned last month to accept a similar position at The Ohio State University. Hennessy, 26, will serve as the baseball contact and editor of the Clemson football program, and will also have responsibilities in men’s basketball and Olympic sports.
Hennessy had served the Clemson SID office for six years as an undergraduate and graduate student. He covered football, basketball, soccer, and baseball during his previous stint at Clemson. He was the editor of the 2000 Clemson baseball media guide that ranked fourth in the nation.
Since earning his master’s degree in civil engineering from Clemson in December of 2000, he had worked in Houston, TX in the engineering industry. He most recently was employed by R.G. Miller Engineers, a full service civil engineering firm that provided both design and construction-phase services. Hennessy, a native of Clemson and 1994 Daniel High graduate, also earned his undergraduate degree from Clemson in civil engineering in December of 1998.
