Both Tiger Swimming and Diving Teams Fifth After Day-One of the Georgia Invitational

ATHENS, GA – The Clemson swimming and diving teams began competition at the Georgia Invitational in Athens, GA today. The men’s team is currently tied for fifth with Alabama at 140 points. The women hold fifth-place outright with 133 points after Friday’s action.

The women’s 200 free relay team of Jenna Burtch, Jenna Burtch finished fourth with a time of 3:44.24.

The men’s 200 free relay of German Martinez, German Martinez finished eighth in the 50 free with a time of 20.89. Craig Thomas posted an eighth-place finish in the men’s 3m-diving competition with a score of 164.70. The men’s 400 medley relay team of Martinez, Scheerhorn, Gregor Govse, and Rob Kummer finished seventh with a time of 3:21.90.
