Baseball Squad Ranked 20th in Preseason Collegiate Baseball Poll

CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson baseball team is 20th in the 1999 Collegiate Baseball Preseason poll. The annual poll is produced from a survey of NCAA Division I baseball coaches from across the nation.

Wichita State is tabbed to finish first followed by Georgia Tech. Georgia Tech and Clemson are among five ACC schools picked in the top-25. Among the other three schools, Florida State is ninth, Wake Forest is 21st, and North Carolina is 23rd.

Last season, Clemson finished with a 43-16 record. The Tigers won 40 games for the 13th consecutive season and advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the 12th consecutive time.
