NEW ORLEANS, La. – Clemson’s Grace Barnett and Logan Morris were named U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Award recipients Thursday for their performances on the track and in the classroom during the 2017-18 season.

Barnett was achieved Second Team All-America status on three occasions this season. She anchored the Tigers’ DMR team and competed in the mile at the NCAA Indoor Championships, earning top-16 finishes in both events. At the NCAA Outdoor Championships, Barnett rewrote her own program record in 1500m with a time of 4:11.07. In the classroom, Barnett is a graduate student studying Youth Leadership Development and achieved a 4.0 GPA this year.
Morris was the ACC runner-up in the 3000m steeplechase at ACC Outdoor Championships. The sophomore achieved a personal-best 10:07.13 in the event and qualified for the NCAA East East Prelim meet. After placing sixth out of 48 at regionals, Morris earned her way into the NCAA Outdoor Championships. The Inman, South Carolina native is majoring in Industrial Engineering.
Both Barnett and Morris earned All-ACC Academic honors last month.
To qualify for USTFCCCA All-Academic honors, the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative GPA of 3.25 and have met at least one of the following athletic standards:
