Assistant Basketball Coach To Leave Clemson

July 31, 2000

Clemson, S.C. – Clemson head men’s basketball coach Larry Shyatt said on Sunday that assistant coach Anthony Solomon will leave the Tiger program to become an assistant coach at Notre Dame.

Solomon has been a part of the Clemson program for two seasons. During that time he was Clemson’s director of basketball operations. He moved up to the position of assistant coach earlier this summer when Scott Duncan left to take an assistant’s position at Oregon.

“I would have loved for him to stay and I would have loved for Scott to stay, but the most important thing in a very difficult job being an assistant basketball coach is your personal growth and your peace of mind,” Shyatt said.
