Amsterdam Wins Long Jump at Penn

CLEMSON, S.C. — Iana Amsterdam won the collegiate long jump final on day one of the Penn Relays, the nation’s oldest annual track & field competition. Amsterdam won with a personal best in the event, a leap of 20-0.25, continuing an outstanding season for the senior horizontal jumper.

In other action, the Clemson women put together a solid effort in the 4×400 relay to qualify for Saturday’s championship final. The team of Olivia James, Ebony Williams, Ersula Farrow and Lakeisha Warner posted a time of 3:35.60, fourth-best in a field of over 70 teams in Thursday’s qualifying round.

Logan Morris placed 17th in the women’s 5000 meters, with a time of 16:52.64. Her time is 10th on Clemson’s all-time performance list.
