Amari Robinson Named to College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team

Clemson, S.C. – Clemson women’s basketball senior forward Amari Robinson has been named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team, it was announced today. Robinson becomes Clemson women’s basketball’s first-ever Academic All-District honoree. 

In 28 games this season, Robinson is leading the Tigers in scoring at 13.4 points per game and rebounding at 6.5 rebounds per game. Robinson has scored in double figures in 15 of Clemson’s 16 ACC games this season and has turned in two double-doubles on the year. Robinson also boasts a 3.96 cumulative GPA in special education.

To qualify for the honor, student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.50, be a sophomore academically and have a year-in-residence at their current school and have appeared in at least 50 percent of the team’s contests. 

The 2022-23 Academic All-District® Men’s and Women’s Basketball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA — for each gender.

Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in mid-March.
