Alvarez Named All-ACC in Men’s Tennis

CLEMSON, SC–Clemson men’s tennis player Carlos Alvarez was named All-Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) as announced by the league’s office Thursday.

The All-ACC team is selected by a vote of the league’s 12 head coaches. This year, Alvarez played number one singles for the Tigers. He won 11 overall matches and nine dual matches for the Tigers this season. He played 17 matches at number one singles for Clemson in 2009. He has been ranked in the top 125 players in college tennis according to the ITA singles rankings this season.
