Tajh Boyd, Football, Redshirt Junior, Hampton, VA

Boyd was 20-for-29 passing for 310 yards and two touchdowns in Clemson’s 41-7 win over Furman on Saturday at Memorial Stadium. With the two touchdown passes, Boyd moved into sole possession of second place on the Clemson career passing touchdowns list with 43 career touchdown passes. He now trails only Charlie Whitehurst (49) in that category.

With his 310 passing yards against the Paladins, Boyd now has five career 300+ yard passing games. Whitehurst (eight) is the only player in Clemson history to have more. The 310 passing yards are the most for Boyd since he had 343 passing yards against Wake Forest in 2011.  Boyd now has 4,904 career passing yards, putting him fifth all-time in Clemson history in that category.
